Madonna parties with Guy for 50th birthday
Madonna celebrated her half century with her husband and family at London’s Volstead nightclub on Saturday night.

Showbiz friends of Madge such as Stella McCartney and Gywneth Patltrow failed to make an appearance at the £100,000 bash in swanky Mayfair, reports the Daily Mirror.

"I’m really disappointed," the pop superstar told the assembled throng in a speech.

"There are a lot of people who are not here tonight, but thanks to everyone who did make it.

"I can’t believe I have reached half a century. It only happens once and this is an event I’m glad to be sharing with you."

However, Guy kept the proceedings going with a 20-minute home movie which complied key moments of the singer’s life and career - ending with footage of the couple together.

Kate: Sinatra’s kiss made me lightheaded
Kate Moss has been talking of the time legendary crooner Frank Sinatra surprised her with a kiss.

Just 21 at the time, Kate was attending Sinatra’s 80th birthday party with her then boyfriend Johnny Depp.

The supermodel told Interview magazine that Frank, who passed away in 1998, managed to cheekily bypass Depp.

"There was still a twinkle in his blue eyes. Yeah, major, "she said.

"I was sitting down having a cigarette and he made a beeline to me.

"He got his security to close in so Johnny couldn’t get to me. So we were encircled and he’s like, ‘How are you doing, little lady?’ And I said, ‘Happy birthday, Frank,’ and he just lunged for me.

"He kissed me on the lips, then gave me a filterless cigarette.
I came off all lightheaded. He was fabulous."

Kerry Katona declared bankrupt
Kerry Katona has been declared bankrupt at the High Court, it has been reported.

The former Atomic Kitten pop star failed to pay the final £82,000 of a £417,000 tax bill.

Despite her efforts to reduce the bill, HM Revenue and Customs insisted on continuing with the bankruptcy petition – which was issued in January.

According to her representative Luke Harris, the failure to pay was due to funds not clearing in time and the money could still be brought forward when it was ready.

It is the fourth time the case had been put before the court, with Mr Registrar Nicholls issuing Katona with a deadline for Thursday some two weeks ago.

Kerry found fame with girl group Atomic Kitten in the late 1990s and went on to win to win reality TV programme I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here in 2004.

Boozy Rhys brawls on night out
Rhys Ifans has been pictured clashing with a photographer after his girlfriend’s birthday bash in London earlier this week.

The Welsh actor was returning to Kimberly Stewart’s house after her 29th birthday party at London’s swanky Bungalow 8 bar when he saw red.

It had already been an eventful night for the Notting Hill star who reportedly brawled with a man in the club when he asked Kimberly for a dance.

According to reports, the pair knocked glasses to the ground after Rhys shouted: "F*** off - don’t touch my bird! Let’s take this outside, you think you’re a big man."

Stewart stopped the fight, telling Ifans: "I’ve had enough of this s**t. Rhys, don’t do this. It’s my birthday, stop it."

Phil Collins in £25m divorce payout
Phil Collins has reportedly paid out around £25 million to his ex-wife in a divorce settlement.

The former Genesis singer recently ended his seven-year marriage to Orianne Cevey, 35, with whom he has two children.

It has been suggested that 57-year-old Phil has paid out around a third of his entire fortune to ex-spouses.

He paid £17 million to Jill Tavelman – mother of his eighteen-year-old daughter Lily – when they split back inn 1994.

"Marriage has certainly not come cheap for Phil," a source close to the singer told the Sunday Mirror.

"He has now made two of the biggest divorce payouts in showbiz history. At least no one can accuse him of leaving his ex wives short."

Orianne will remain in the couple’s £20 million Geneva home with their sons Nicolas and Matthew.
